Greetings! I’m Jesper, a level designer currently working at Rovio. I started my games industry journey in 2018 at Ubisoft after a long modding history and background. I love to design memorable experiences, build environments, develop ideas and come up with creative solutions to design problems.

About me

From hand-me-down NES and Sega Genesis cartridges to looking over my older brothers shoulder at them playing the latest and greatest PC games to finally getting my first very own modern gaming system, I have been obsessed with games ever since I was a kid. When it comes to games, I’ve always been quite the omnivore, enjoying all types of games regardless of genre. Games that allow me to express my own creativity have always been especially engaging to me. Thus my journey to making games began from a background of modding and toying with games that had their own level editors.
In 2018 I joined Ubisoft to work on Trials Rising as a level designer after a long history of making my own levels for the previous installments in the franchise. After that I sought an education in game development and studied game development at Kajaani University of Applied Sciences. For the past 3+ years I’ve been working at Rovio Entertainment as a level designer on various projects in different stages of development, in teams both big and small.
When I’m not making or playing games, I’m probably watching movies or reading books (just as omnivorously) or alternatively playing tennis.
